1838 Large Stars Dime, MS64
No Drapery, F-113
1838 10C No Drapery, Large Stars, F-113, R.4, MS64 NGC. The
1838 Large Stars variety is far more available than the Small Stars
variant. This softly lustrous near-Gem example with light
silver-gray patina pairs a Large Stars obverse with a reverse that
displays a bold die flaw between ONE and DIME. The worm-shaped die
flaw on the central reverse is seen only on F-105 and F-113. F-105
has a repunched star 9, while that star is normal on F-113. A
diagnostic area of die wear exists below the date, ending at
