1842 10C MS65 PCGS. Fortin-106, R.2. The 1842, with a mintage of more than 1.8 million pieces, is one of the more plentiful Seated half dime issues of the period, though it is still itself scarce in all grades, and rare in Gem or finer condition. This piece displays hints of iridescent color beneath a thin veil of light golden toning, with frosty luster and boldly struck design elements.
