Description

1842 Seated Dime, MS65
Seldom Encountered in Gem or Finer

1842 10C MS65 PCGS. Pale champagne-gold toning and strong luster provide this Gem with exceptional visual appeal. Aside from a couple of minuscule marks on the obverse, the surfaces are essentially pristine. Although the 1842 dime issue consisted of almost 1.9 million coins, only 13 examples have achieved the Gem grade, with only 8 pieces surpassing that level at PCGS and NGC combined (2/14).
