Description

Conditionally Scarce 1842-O Dime MS63

1842-O 10C MS63 NGC. The 1842-O dime was minted in substantial numbers, but apparently most saw extensive circulation. Survivors in grades higher than XF can be considered scarce. This example features rose-gray, gold, and speckled toning, with adequately struck devices. The surfaces are well preserved, with only a couple of rim dings at 4 o'clock on the obverse that prevent a higher grade. Census: 6 in 63, 7 finer (10/07).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2387, PCGS# 4582, Greysheet# 4092)
