1845 10C MS65 NGC. Fortin-105. Ex: Lovejoy. All four date digits nearly touch the rock, and a faint diagonal die crack passes through the E in STATES, with another at ED of UNITED. Deep sea-green and plum-red toning drapes this colorful and virtually mark-free Gem. Well-struck aside from the center of star 7.Ex: Allen F. Lovejoy Collection (Stack's, 10/1990), lot 232; Houston Signature (Heritage, 11/2007), lot 60315. Allen Lovejoy was one of the coauthors of Early United States Dimes 1796-1837.
