    Desirable 1847 Seated Dime, MS64

    1847 10C MS64 NGC. Fortin-103. Possibly a blundered date variety with a defect at the border below the 7. The reverse has a vertical die crack from the lower rim into the ribbon ends. This piece is far finer than the Fortin plate coin at seateddimevarieties.com. The surfaces are satiny and brilliant with strong design details and no evidence of toning on either side. Census: 2 in 64, 1 finer (7/10).
