    Description

1849 10C MS62 NGC. Despite a healthy mintage, Mint State survivors of the 1849 dime are few in quantity. This specimen reveals bright silvery surfaces that show some speckled milky color. The design elements are relatively sharply struck for an issue that is often characterized by poor striking. There are no significant contact marks to report. Evidence of extensive die rust is noted on the reverse, especially on the right (facing) side. Population: 4 in 62, 23 finer (7/05).(#4591) (Registry values: N991)
