1849-O Large O Dime, MS63
Rare in Uncirculated Grades
1849-O 10C MS63 NGC. Fortin-101. Large O. The mintmark was
entered at an angle, which caused a deeply impressed top and a
lightly brought up base. This die variety is associated with soft
strikes, but the present Select example shows incompleteness only
on star 13 and Liberty's hair. Toned medium dove-gray and
golden-brown. Smooth except for faint field marks near the right
(facing) knee. Census: 6 in 63, 3 finer (4/15).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 238H, PCGS# 4592, Greysheet# 4095)
