1851 Seated Liberty Dime, MS65+
Repunched 851, Fortin-105

1851 10C MS65+ PCGS. Fortin-105, R.4. The base of the 51 is clearly repunched, and the flag of a 1 is misplaced in the shield. Light golden-brown toning graces this lustrous, nicely struck, and essentially immaculate high-end Gem. Perhaps the single finest example of this obscure but interesting variety. Population: 5 in 65 (1 in 65+), 1 finer (12/12).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 238L, PCGS# 4595, Greysheet# 4042)
