Description

1852-O 10C MS62 NGC. A better-date O-mint Seated dime, more elusive in Mint State than non-specialists might imagine. The Greer Seated dime reference calls this issue in Mint an R.6. The date slopes sharply downward from left to right, with the top of the 1 firmly embedded in Liberty's rock, and the 2 noticeably lower. Lovely copper-orange coloration graces each side of this lustrous piece. A couple of scrapes in the obverse right field account for the grade. Census: 4 in 62, 18 finer (1/07).(Registry values: N1793)
