Description

Scarce 1852-O Dime, MS64

1852-O 10C MS64 NGC. While not heavily melted like the Philadelphia issues, New Orleans dimes were heavily circulated and very few were set aside in high grades. This is one of only 12 pieces so graded by NGC and PCGS combined with only three finer (all NGC). The fields show unusually bright mint luster for a New Orleans issue. Variegated blue and rose toning is scattered over each side. The strike is surprisingly sharp. A well-balanced coin from side to side.(Registry values: N2998)
