1853 No Arrows Dime, MS66
Fortin-101a, Top 100 Variety

1853 10C No Arrows MS66 PCGS. CAC. Fortin-101a, R.5. A Top 100 Seated dime variety. Pronounced die clashing occurs throughout the obverse. Notably, the E in DIME is clearly visible under Liberty's right (facing) arm. A small run of just 95,000 No Arrows dimes was accomplished in 1853 prior to the weight reduction that resulted in the addition of arrows flanking the date. Subtle, even light golden patina covers each side. The design elements are strongly impressed with full star centers, sharp head detail, and bold wreath definition.
