Description
1854-O Arrows Dime, Remarkable MS67
Among the Four Finest Known
1854-O 10C Arrows MS67 NGC. The highly lustrous surfaces are
remarkable for their sharpness of strike and virtual lack of
abrasions. The texture is a pleasing mixture of frosty and satiny
qualities likely caused by slightly rusted dies, not uncommon on
coins produced by the New Orleans Mint. At certain angles, this
coin appears brilliant, at others, delicate golden overtones are
visible. The 1854-O is not an absolute rarity, but only 29 examples have been certified above the MS64 grade level. This Superb Gem is one of the four finest graded by NGC; PCGS has seen none at this or higher levels (4/14). This is an important opportunity for the Seated dime specialist.
