Description

1856 Seated Liberty Dime, MS67
Popular Small Date Variant

1856 10C Small Date MS67 PCGS. CAC. From a substantial mintage of nearly 5.8 million pieces, this 1856 Seated Liberty dime represents the popular Small Date variety, which is somewhat more available than its Large Date counterpart. The design elements of this spectacular Superb Gem are sharply detailed throughout, and the well-preserved surfaces display attractive shades of golden-brown and violet toning. Vibrant satiny mint luster shines through the patina and this coin possesses terrific eye appeal. PCGS has certified only two coins, including the present example, in MS67 , with none finer, while NGC has graded a single specimen at the Superb Gem level, also with none finer (3/14).(Registry values: N1)
