1856-S 10C -- Cleaning -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. The first S-mint dime issue has a meager mintage of 70,000 pieces. Few were saved, and sharp examples are rare. The present pearl-gray and tan coin has little if any circulation wear, but is mildly bright and displays horizontal obverse hairlines. The reverse rim has a small nick at 12 o'clock.(Registry values: N1793)
