1859 Stars Obverse Dime, Superb Gem
Exquisitely Preserved Surfaces
1859 10C MS67 NGC. One of the last Stars Obverse dime
issues, the 1859 saw a sizable six-figure mintage but is a distinct
rarity at the Superb Gem level. This well-defined and profoundly
lustrous example has obverse toning in cerulean at the margins and
peach on the interior, the latter color forming the reverse's
border-toning with a fade to silver. NGC has graded no MS68 or
