1860 Seated Dime, MS62
First Year of the Legend Obverse
1860 10C F-104, R.3, MS62 NGC. The Type One Shield, with
five vertical shield lines above the ribbon inscribed LIBERTY.
Translucent peach-orange obverse toning allows plentiful silver
luster to shine through, while the reverse displays faint glimpses
of orange-gold on its smooth, lilac-gray surface. Only a few light
abrasions are seen. The Fortin-104 variety features a thin base on
1 in the date, with the date numerals high and level.Selections From The Towers Collection.
