Description

1860-O Dime, Lightly Circulated AU55
Key Seated Dime Issue

1860-O 10C AU55 PCGS. CAC. The low production figure for the 1860-O dimes of 40,000 pieces, on the eve of the Civil War in New Orleans, has made the issue a target for collectors for many decades. Few finer examples survive than this lightly circulated, deeply patinated coin, showing a nice bold strike and no mentionable distractions. An extremely rare issue in Mint State, and a key to the Seated dime series. Population: 4 in 55, 1 finer (3/15). This is the sole AU55 with the CAC green approval sticker.(Registry values: N2998)
