Description
1864 10C F-102a, R.5, MS65+ PCGS Secure. CAC. Ex: Simpson. Light straw-gold toning visits lustrous and unabraded surfaces. A single die pair was used to strike the business mintage of just 11,000 pieces. The marriage earlier struck proofs, but the clash marks on both sides, as well as incompleteness of strike on the upper left portion of the wreath, confirm that the present Gem was coined for commerce.Selections from The Bob R. Simpson Collection.
