1866 10C MS65 PCGS. Fortin-102b. The end of the Civil War did not return silver coinage to circulation, since unbacked fractional currency was commonplace. Under the circumstances, business strike coinage at Philadelphia was limited to 8,000 pieces. This is a prooflike and unabraded Gem with lovely sea-green and russet-brown toning.
