Description

Impressive 1867-S Seated Dime, MS66

1867-S 10C MS66 NGC. This frosty Premium Gem has brilliant silver luster with bright, mostly untoned surfaces, and bold design definition on both sides, although the mintmark shows slight weakness. The surfaces are virtually flawless, displaying subtle hints of iridescence on each side. This is a remarkable coin with few peers. In fact, it is the only MS66 certified, with only one finer coin. This specimen represents Fortin-102, with a small raised die defect just below Liberty's left knee. Census: 1 in 66, 1 finer (7/10).
