1869 Seated Liberty Dime, MS65
Scarce This Fine, Colorfully Toned

1869 10C F-105a, R.4, MS65 PCGS. CAC. Long Flag on 1. Iridescent, calico-like toning visits the obverse of this Gem Seated dime, with light gold, blue, and cherry-red shades on the reverse. The devices are lightly frosted against reflective fields. The Fortin-105 die marriage was used to strike both proofs and circulation strikes. PCGS has assigned a Gem Mint State designation, although we note squared-off rims and particularly strong dentils on this coin, and cannot dismiss the possibility that it might a proof. Population: 4 in 65, 12 finer. CAC: 1 in 65, 5 finer (5/18).
