Description
1870-S 10C Misplaced Date, F-101, R.3, AU53 PCGS. A briefly circulated cream-gray example. Luster illuminates the legends and motifs. No marks are remotely of interest. The tops of an 8 and 7 lurk in the denticles near the 8 in the date, according to Gerry Fortin. The sole die variety known for this low mintage issue. Very scarce in all grades.Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 538254, Base PCGS# 4652)
