Near-Gem 1870-S Seated Dime
1870-S 10C MS64 PCGS. A remarkable coin that is seldom seen any finer, with just 17 better pieces certified by both NGC and PCGS. The surfaces are mostly brilliant with splashes of peripheral gold and iridescent toning. The lustrous surfaces have reflective fields that are nearly prooflike. Slight design weakness is limited to Liberty's head. Population: 5 in 64, 10 finer (8/07).From The Beau Clerc Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
