1872-CC Seated Dime, AU Details
F-101, Rare Carson City Issue

1872-CC 10C -- Stained -- NGC Details. AU. F-101, R.5. Many examples of this rare Carson City date are impaired in one way or another. The issue is exceedingly rare in AU condition or finer, and although the present example has problems, it is well-detailed with the sharpness of an About Uncirculated coin. Staining appears on both sides -- perhaps to hide hairlines that are visible with a glass -- and, as a result, the surfaces display dark shades of lusterless steel gray.
