Description

1873-CC Arrows Dime, XF40
Carson City Condition Rarity

1873-CC 10C Arrows XF40 PCGS. Fortin-101. Medium to deep steel-gray patina with lavender-blue and russet outer overtones. The fields are smooth with only a few small abrasions, while the devices remain sharp for the grade, particularly the word LIBERTY and the lines in her shield. Though the With Arrows 1873-CC dime is not so famous as its unique No Arrows counterpart, series enthusiasts know how elusive the issue is even in circulated condition, as do connoisseurs of Carson City coinage. Population: 2 in 40, 9 finer (11/13).
Ex: The Tim Cook Collection of Liberty Seated Dimes / CSNS Signature (Heritage, 4/2005), lot 6513, which realized $21,275.(Registry values: N2998)
