1873-S Arrows Dime, MS65
F-101, Repunched Date
1873-S 10C Arrows, Small Thin S, Repunched Date, F-101, R.4,
MS65 PCGS. San Francisco struck only two Arrows issues with the
Cereal Wreath reverse. Both are low mintage, and better dates
within the series. Two mintmark style varieties exist for the
1873-S dime, and both are designated as R-4 by Seated specialist
Gerry Fortin. Additionally, F-101 shows repunching above the base
of the 1 in the date. This lustrous Gem displays peripheral
autumn-brown toning. The central reverse displays ocean-blue. A
bold strike and smooth surfaces further confirm the quality.
