Rare XF Details 1874-CC Arrows Dime

1874-CC 10C Arrows--Improperly Cleaned--NCS. XF Details. The fourth charter member of what Rusty Goe memorably termed the "Fearsome Foursome" of Carson City dimes in his The Mint on Carson Street, the 1874-CC is the only Arrows issue in that esteemed company. With its tiny mintage of 10,817 pieces and a pitiful survival rate, it is little wonder that the 1874-CC Arrows dime is a major prize in any grade. The present example is minutely granular from a past cleaning, and is retoned in deep ice-blue and golden-brown shades. A solitary pinscratch crosses the waist. A sharply detailed example of this Old West rarity.
