1875-S Seated Dime, MS66
Shattered Reverse, Tied for Finest at NGC
1875-S 10C Mintmark Above Bow MS66 NGC. Fortin-101, R.3. A
Top 100 variety. This Premium Gem is struck from an early die state
of Obverse 1 with the first S in STATES broken. The A.2 reverse
shows a shattered die around the edges and clash marks within the
wreath. Multicolor toning paints each side and radiant luster
percolates throughout. The devices are sharply defined and the
surfaces present no mentionable marks. This coin is tied with four
others for finest-certified at NGC (6/14).(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23AG, PCGS# 4677, Greysheet# 4132)
