1878-CC 10C MS63 PCGS. Variety 104. A Top 100 Variety. Freckles of gold and sea-green patina overlay the cream-gray surfaces of this nicely detailed example. Struck from a shattered and lapped reverse die. Not to be confused with the comparatively common Carson City issues from 1875 through 1877, the 1878-CC has a low production of 200,000 pieces.
