Description

Captivating Gem 1878-CC Dime

1878-CC 10C MS65 NGC. After several years of high mintages, production of dimes at Carson City fell to just 200,000 pieces in 1878. This strongly lustrous survivor, slightly satiny on the obverse, offers excellent eye appeal with hints of gold and pink at the margins of the otherwise silver-gray surfaces. Well struck and delightful. Census: 8 in 65, 11 finer (10/07).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23AR, PCGS# 4686, Greysheet# 4137)
