The 1881 had a circulation-strike mintage of just 24,000 pieces and
examples are infrequently encountered in higher Mint State grades.
The present remarkable Superb Gem has gold-toned centers within a
broad frame of ocean-blue and green patina. This is an exceptional
example with exemplary luster and sensational eye appeal.
