Description

1882 Dime, Superb Gem
Attractive Multicolor Toning

1882 10C F-105, R.2, MS67 NGC. CAC. While the 1882 is a common date with 3.9 million pieces produced, it can be a challenge to locate with a full strike. This piece is sharply defined in most areas in addition to the overall exceptional preservation of the surfaces. Rich mint frost underlies the emerald-green and rose-red toning seen on each side of this well preserved Seated type coin. Census: 26 in 67, 2 finer (11/15).
Ex: Palm Beach Signature (Heritage, 3/2005), lot 5469, which realized $2,300.
Selections from The Bob R. Simpson Collection.
