Description

1888 Dime, MS66
Partially Reflective Fields
Clashed and Cracked Reverse

1888 10C MS66 PCGS. Similar to Fortin-111, but Identifying the misplaced bottom loop of 8 in the rock base midway above the final two 8s in the date takes some imagination. An extensive network of die cracks encircling the wreath is easily confirmed. Faint die cracks exist near Liberty's head and at the date, and the reverse shows die clashing at DIME. This reflective Premium Gem example displays a thin band of orange-gold toning at both the obverse and reverse borders. Population: 38 in 66 (7 in 66+), 2 finer (3/24).(Registry values: N1793)
