Description

1891-O Seated Dime, MS66
The Eugene H. Gardner Coin

1891-O 10C MS66 PCGS. CAC. The final-year 1891-O Liberty Seated dime is quite popular, since it is the only affordable Legend on Obverse O-Mint issue readily available in Mint State. Gerry Fortin's Seated dime website shows more than 30 different die pairings for the issue. We were not able to match up this coin with any of the varieties listed in Fortin. The coin is colorfully toned in iridescent rainbow shades with strong luster and a bold strike for the O-Mint issue. PCGS reports 13 submissions in MS66 with three MS67 finer. NGC shows its finest to be two in MS66 (10/17).
