    1872 10C PR65 NGC. A reflective example with original, medium slate-gray toning highlighted by an iridescent shade of electric-blue. Somewhat weakly struck, as were many coins during this decade. (The Mint's quality control on proof coinage during the 1870s and 1880s was slightly less strict than in previous or later decades.) From an original proof mintage of 950 pieces. Census: 18 in 65, 10 finer (10/07). (Registry values: N1793)
