Elusive Uncirculated 1843 Dollar

1843 $1 MS61 NGC. A shimmering silver-gray and almond-gold silver dollar that has a good strike and moderately abraded fields. The obverse has a hair-thin mark near the first two stars and a tiny rim nick at 6 o'clock. The 1843 has a plentiful mintage by No Motto Seated dollar standards, yet remains very scarce in Mint State. Census: 21 in 61, 31 finer (7/08).(Registry values: N1793)
