Description

1843 Seated Dollar, MS63
Richly Toned

1843 $1 MS63 PCGS. CAC. A marvelous Select Seated dollar, mellowed with age but no less beautiful for it. Rich gray toning takes on distinct blue-to-green elements at the margins. Though softly struck in places such as Liberty's head, this coin's details are always rounded, never flat with wear. An old shallow scrape at Liberty's waist contributes to the grade. Population: 16 in 63, 5 finer (3/15).(Registry values: N2998)
