1844 Seated Liberty Dollar, MS61
Only 20,000 Pieces Struck
1844 $1 MS61 NGC. Only 20,000 Seated Liberty dollars were
minted in 1844, and the date is quite rare in Mint State condition.
The present coin displays mostly brilliant reflective surfaces,
with slight hints of gold at the rims. All design elements are
sharply detailed, and eye appeal is outstanding. A scattering of
minor marks on both sides explains the grade. Census: 7 in 61, 9
