1845 Liberty Seated Dollar, AU58
Attractive OC-1 Specimen
1845 $1 AU58 NGC. OC-1. The OC-1 die combination is the only
variety for 1845, and the only usage of both dies. Light
golden-gray toning blankets the surfaces of this lustrous near-Mint
Liberty Seated dollar. The strike is usual for the date, with some
areas of weakness including the upper shield and eagle's breast
feathers, but most design elements are well-formed. Minor
grade-consistent contact marks are seen on both sides. Overall, a
very nice 1845 Liberty Seated dollar representative.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24YF, PCGS# 6931, Greysheet# 7195)
