Description
1845 Seated Dollar, MS60
Conditionally Scarce P-Mint Issue
1845 $1 MS60 NGC. At the Mint State level of preservation,
the 1845 is a significant rarity among P-mint Seated dollars from
the 1840s. Both sides of this well-defined example are mostly
silver-gray in appearance, although suggestions of light golden
color are evident as the coin turns away from the light. The luster
is subdued, and there is one mark of note, located in the upper
reverse field. Census: 2 in 60, 17 finer (11/15).Ex: Philadelphia 2000 (Heritage, 8/2000), lot 6180; Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2002), lot 4034; FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2006), lot 4366.
