    Description

1846 $1 MS61 PCGS. Slightly soft in a few areas, but boldly struck overall, this lightly toned example displays satin luster and nicely preserved, minimally abraded surfaces. With a relatively generous total of 110,600 pieces produced, the 1846 is among the more plentiful Seated Dollars from the 1840s. Since most survivors are worn, however, the 1846, like the other dates of this type from this decade, is a noteworthy condition rarity in Mint State. Population: 8 in 61, 37 finer (6/05).

I know for a fact that the sale by Heritage was way beyond what I was offered by other people. If I had to do it over again, I would absolutely choose Heritage again.
