Description

1846 Seated Dollar, MS62
Excellent No Motto Type Coin

1846 $1 MS62 PCGS. OC-1, R.1. The top of the 1 is repunched, and a die lump connects the upper berry to the eagle's leg. The 1846 is one of the more accessible Seated dollar issues, and this Mint State example would fit well in a high-grade type set. Incompleteness on the star centers and wing tips is characteristic. The other motifs are well-detailed. Semireflective surfaces show multicolor patina across the obverse and minimal toning on the reverse.(Registry values: N2998)
