Description
Lightly, Evenly Toned MS62 1846 Seated Dollar
1846 $1 MS62 PCGS. Although 110,000 business strikes are recorded for this issue, it is nonetheless rare in Mint State. As confirmation, both NGC and PCGS combined have certified only 37 pieces in MS62, with 74 pieces finer (9/08). This example offers appealing silver-gold surfaces that show few mentionable distractions. The strike is sharp, and the reverse show considerable field-to-device contrast. Only a few stray ticks on the high points of the obverse, and a few light field hairlines, likely account for the grade. From The Jack Lee Estate, Inventory.(Registry values: N2998)
