Description

1847 Seated Dollar, MS63
Brilliant and Untoned

1847 $1 MS63 NGC. A large mintage of 140,750 pieces and apparently high-survivorship makes this issue one of the more available Seated Liberty dollars in both circulated and Uncirculated conditions. This example is brilliant, silver-white and is devoid of any toning. Luster is frosty and rich on the obverse, although a bit subdued on the reverse. Only a few minor abrasions appear on the coin, with the obverse particularly free of any marks. Wide, bold rims surround a sharp strike over all the devices. An appealing, Select Uncirculated dollar for those who prefer white coins. Census: 21 in 63, 10 finer (3/14).(Registry values: N2998)
