Appealing Mint State 1849 Seated Dollar
1849 $1 MS61 NGC. Judging from the certified populations, it appears that most examples of this 62,000-coin mintage circulated to at least some extent, with other perhaps shipped to the Orient. This Mint State piece offers broader appeal than the grade might suggest, with the luster a bit muted by lovely patina in shades of pinkish-gold and ice-blue.
