Description

1849 Seated Dollar, MS63
Scarce in Better Uncirculated Grades

1849 $1 MS63 PCGS. OC-2, R.2. Osburn-Cushing Die State b/b. Deep, iridescent toning blankets the reflective fields of this Select Uncirculated 1849 silver dollar. The strike is razor-sharp on both sides, with only a few light bagmarks well-hidden by the patina. Pale-gold and blue shades predominate, with a burst of ruby-red at Liberty's lower gown. Just two circulation strike die pairs were employed to produce the 62,000-piece mintage. This coin is housed in an old generation blue label PCGS holder with the barcode on the back. Population: 20 in 63, 21 finer (6/19).(Registry values: N2998)
