1849 $1 MS64 NGC. OC-1, R.1. Osburn-Cushing Die State a/c.
The mintage was a moderate 62,600 pieces, and the 1849 ranks at the
midpoint of availability among the 47 Seated dollar issues. It
becomes rare in Gem Uncirculated condition, making this near-Gem
example an optimal opportunity for a high-grade set. Reflective
fields and sharply struck devices display a varied palette of blue,
peach, and amber-gold colors surrounded by wide, strong rims. Only
a handful of minuscule marks are seen on the Choice, attractive
