Description

Elusive MS64 1849 Seated Dollar

1849 $1 MS64 PCGS. An elusive issue in Mint State, here represented by a gorgeous example with golden-orange toning in the fields and silver-gray devices. A few light contact marks, none individually significant, on Liberty's legs and elsewhere account for the grade, but this piece is close to Gem quality and has enormous eye appeal, as well as absolute and conditional rarity. Certified in a green-label holder. Population: 7 in 64, 2 finer (1/07).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24YL, PCGS# 6936, Greysheet# 7199)
