Repunched 0, Top 30 Variety
1850 $1 AU55 PCGS. OC-1, Repunched 0. Osburn-Cushing Die
State a/e. The 0 in the date has been repunched, clearly visible in
the lower part of the digit. Light gray toning along with dashes of
tan cover the surfaces of this specimen, which has small, scattered
circulation marks on both sides. Luster glows in sheltered areas
around the stars and lettering. The strike is good, with some
softness in the right hand stars, but the portrait and eagle are
nicely detailed. This is an excellent example of the Repunched 0, a
